It might seem like a lifetime since Pokemon Go took over the world. In fact it’s only last summer that it had people jumping out of their cars to collect rare monsters.
In the few months since that time the game has practically disappeared from popular culture, with the numbers playing dropping by 79%.
In an attempt to increase usage the makers have been releasing themed events, the latest of which is for Valentine’s Day.
There are three main changes;
- Pokémon-attracting Lures devices will now last a whole six hours, 12 times longer than their standard 30-minute duration. This will mean a lot more around.
- Pink Pokémon will now be more common, meaning Chansey, Clefable, Porygon and others will show up more often, and Cleffa, Igglybuff and Smoochum will hatch from eggs more often.
- Players will be getting double candy for doing pretty much anything in the game.
The event is now live so if love has not hit you yet, there’s still time.
What do you think? Is it enough to make you give Pokemon Go another try?
